Update payment and billing info

You can add and update your payment methods easily on the “Payments & billing” page of your AppSumo account.

To manage your payment methods:

  1. Go to the “Payments & billing” page of your AppSumo account.
  2. There, you can add payment methods you want to save to your account, select a default payment method, and delete cards you no longer use

What else you can do on the  “Payments & billing” page:

  • Update or delete your default billing information
  • Choose your preferred currency for prices across AppSumo
  • Purchasing on behalf of a business? Tax ID type, including VAT, can be entered by selecting "Add tax ID" and choosing the appropriate country. If your business is located in Australia, you'd select "Add ABN."

Please note: Debit/credit card refunds are always processed back to the card that was originally used for payment, even if you delete it from your account. Also, updating a payment method in your account won’t change the payment method for any orders you’ve already placed.


When it comes to security, you can rest assured that AppSumo doesn't store credit card numbers. The only information we have access to is a token from our merchant processor (Stripe) linked to your payment method.  This is how your payment information is displayed in the “Payment” tile and how it auto-populates at checkout (we're smart, but we don't have enough brainpower to remember all of those numbers).
