How do I know my refund was processed?

You can verify that a refund was processed successfully on the "Products" page of your AppSumo account.

  1. In the navigation bar on any AppSumo page, click the blue profile icon in the top right corner (next to the cart)
  2. Select "Products" from the dropdown menu (or head to the “Products” tile from your account overview)
  3. Use the "Filter" dropdown menu in the top right corner to select "Refunded"

Once you see the product on this list, your refund has been processed!


How long will my refund take?

Refunds are immediate on our part; however, please note your payment processor may take longer to post the funds in your account.

If you paid with PayPal, you should receive an email from PayPal letting you know of the refund right away. You can also check your PayPal account to see it.

If you paid with a debit/credit card, please allow your bank 5 to 10 business days (Monday - Friday, excluding holidays) to post the funds. If you requested a refund within 24 hours of purchasing a product, it may be processed as a purchase reversal instead of a refund and disappear from your statement rather than post as a charge and return.

If you paid with AppSumo credits, they are instantly returned to your AppSumo account upon refunding! You can review your credit balance in the "Credits" tile of your account and you’ll see the option to apply your credits to your next purchase at checkout.


Can I cancel a refund?

There's "buyer's remorse," and then there's "refund remorse." 

At AppSumo, refunds are final. Once you submit a refund request, the money leaves our account, and your access to the tool is deactivated. If the product is no longer sold, our contract with the partner has expired and we cannot sell any more copies of the product. Please be mindful of this when refunding your purchases (we suggest you do a double-take or two).


Can I get a refund in AppSumo credits?

For some purchases, you may see the option to refund your payment in AppSumo credits (our exchange rate is 1 ASC = 1 USD).

However, not all purchases are eligible for this alternative refund method. If you have any questions regarding AppSumo credit refunds and purchase eligibility, please reach out to our team at support@appsumo.comand we’ll be happy to help!


Is everything refundable?

The Refund policy for any product sale is a full refund of the purchase price for the number of days established per product from the date of purchase for any reason or no reason.

However, please note that some listings, such as digital downloads, cannot be returned or refunded. You can check the Deal Terms section of each listing to confirm if the tool is eligible for our money-back guarantee.

Additionally, after membership rewards have been used, your AppSumo Plus membership is non-refundable. Because the subscription is billed annually, you can cancel any time (to end your membership at the time of renewal) and you will not be charged for the next year.
