How do I know my refund was processed?

You can verify that a refund was processed successfully on the "My Products" page of your AppSumo account.

  1. Head to AppSumo
  2. Select "Account" from the navigation bar at the top of the page
  3. Click the "Products" tile
  4. Use the "Filter:" dropdown menu to select "Refunded"

Once you see the product on this list, your refund has been processed. 

How long will my refund take?

Refunds are immediate on our part; however, please note your payment processor may take longer to post the funds in your account.

If you paid with  PayPal, you should receive an email from PayPal letting you know of the refund right away. You can also check your PayPal account to see it.

If you paid with a  debit/credit card, please allow your bank 5 to 10 business days (M-F, excluding holidays) to post the funds. If you requested a refund within 24 hours of purchasing the deal, however, it may be processed as a purchase reversal and just disappear from your statement.

If you paid with  AppSumo credits, they will be returned to your AppSumo account right away and you will see them both on the "Rewards" page of your account and at checkout during your next purchase.

Can I cancel a refund?

There's "buyer's remorse," and then there's "refund remorse." 

At AppSumo, refunds are final. Once you submit a refund request, the money leaves our account and the code is deactivated. If the deal has ended, our contract with the partner has expired and we cannot sell any more copies of the deal. Please be mindful of this when refunding your purchases (we suggest you do a double-take or two).

Can I get a refund in AppSumo credits? 

We're happy to refund any deal for you in AppSumo credits, which would immediately reflect in the "Rewards" section of your AppSumo account (our exchange rate is 1 ASC = 1 USD). For now, you'll need to submit your request for a refund in credits via email to and we will take care of it for you from our end. Please note: If you've already processed a refund on your own from the "Products" page of your AppSumo account, the purchase will be refunded to your original form of payment, and at this point, it's final/irreversible.

Is everything refundable?

The Refund policy for any product sale is a full refund of the purchase price for the number of days established per product from the date of purchase for any reason or no reason. However, please note that our rewards membership, AppSumo Plus, is not refundable after rewards have been used. Because this membership is billed annually, you can cancel any time and will not be charged for the following year. Cancellations requested after you have purchased any deals using the membership discount will not result in partial refunds.
