What are Plus Coupons?

Plus Annual and Plus Pro Annual members receive a quarterly (4 times a year) $25 coupon that can be applied towards purchases from the AppSumo marketplace. It does combine with the 10% discount all Plus customers already receive. You'll receive one every 90 days during your year of membership, which adds up to $100 in savings!

Plus Monthly members don't receive quarterly coupons — but you still get the 10% discount and the rest of the Plus perks.

Can Plus Coupons be combined with other offers?

Plus coupons cannot be combined with other coupons or site wide promotions like Sumo Day, Black Friday, etc. But as mentioned above, it will stack on top of your Plus 10% off discount.

Is there a minimum spend to use my Plus Coupon?

These is no minimum spend threshold for Plus coupons, meaning that if the entire coupon is not used, it will not be refunded back to your account.

When do Plus Annual and Plus Pro customers typically receive their first Plus Coupon?

Plus Annual and Plus Pro members receive their $25 coupons every 90 days, starting from the date you joined or last upgraded your plan.

Once you purchase your membership, as a welcome to the VIP life your first coupon will be available for use immediately. You can confirm your coupon is ready for use in the Rewards page of your AppSumo account and you'd be able to apply it to your next purchase.

What happens to my coupons if I upgrade my Plus plan?

If you upgrade from Plus Monthly to Plus Annual or Plus Pro, your first coupon is available right away.

If you're already on the Plus Annual plan and upgrade to Plus Pro, you'll receive a new coupon when you upgrade — unless you've just received one, in which case you'll keep your current coupon. Either way, your 90-day coupon schedule restarts from your upgrade date.

Is my Plus Coupon refundable?

If you refund a purchase that used a Plus coupon, your coupon will automatically be reissued to your account!

Here's how it works:

  • Full refund — You'll receive your full $25 coupon back.
  • Partial refund (multi-item order) — You'll receive a coupon proportional to the value of the refunded item. If you later refund the remaining item(s), you'll get the original $25 coupon back, as long as the partial coupon hasn't been used yet.
  • Expired coupons — Your reissued coupon will have a new 7-day expiration from the date of the refund.
  • Non-expired coupons — Your original expiration date is preserved, as long as it's more than 7 days out.
  • Active membership not required — Even if your Plus membership has expired, your coupon will still be reissued upon refund.

Your reissued coupon will appear on your Rewards page as a "Plus Coupon Re-issue" with the updated expiration date.

Please note that a reissued coupon is a one-time reissue — if a second refund occurs on a transaction that used a reissued coupon, the coupon will not be reissued again.

Note: Plus coupon reissuance applies to refunds processed on or after May 6, 2026. Refunds processed prior to this date are not eligible for coupon reissuance.

Can I use my Plus Coupon to upgrade my license tier?

While a Plus coupon can discount a tiered license purchase, should you decide to upgrade your license to a higher tier at a later date, the upgrade will be full price.

How long is my Plus Coupon valid for?

Please note that each coupon is valid for 45 days from the date it's issued. These coupons can't be extended, so be sure to apply them to a purchase before they expire!
