License add-ons

What are license add-ons?

Plans featured on AppSumo are created with Sumo-lings in mind and are offered at amazing prices, so they often differ from the plans and pricing that our partners sell directly on their sites. Sometimes our partners offer features that don't fit neatly within our normal plans, and add-ons allow you to buy access to extra features or higher limits for an additional cost.

Different types of tools offer different types of add-ons, and you can always view information about available add-ons at the bottom of the deal terms.

How do I buy a license add-on?

Buy an add-on at the same time as a new license

When reviewing a tool, you may see the option to buy an add-on in the deal terms table. Add-ons will always be at the bottom of the table, and you'll select them before clicking the "Buy now" button.

Some add-ons require you to specify a quantity, while others only require checking a box. You can see an example of both types below:

Buy an add-on separately after buying a license

If you decide you'd like to buy an add-on after trying out a new tool, follow the steps below:

Visit the "Profile" page of your AppSumo account
Find the tool you'd like to buy an addon for from the list or use the "search" bar
Click the dropdown menu to the right of the tool and click "Redemption information"
Click on the "Available add-ons" header to see the add-ons for purchase
Complete your checkout as usual

Can I refund a license add-on?

Just like with our regular deals, some add-ons are refundable and others aren't. Non-refundable add-ons will always be clearly labeled on the deal page so you're aware beforehand!
